Veilady

Veilady represents the result of crossing biomimetics with alien geometry and a bit of attitude. It is a ceiling lamp with a standard LED bulb, that it's user changeable, and comes in 3 different lampshade configurations. It aims to be a sculptural piece, a subject of discussion and reflection, with an elegant estetic profile and simple color scheme.

Ideation and play.
With 3 sources of inspiration, it's only natural to let them each influence a part of the product, and with a bit of luck/work, they will come together harmoniously. The base body of the lamp is made to emulate an alien pod with the bulb representing the life/light inside, the lampshade is the protective exo-scheleton, inspired by the geometric constructions of a few exotic mushrooms, and when the light it's turned on, the contrast between the pod and the lampshade switches, the profile gets warmer, visually imitating the monarch butterflies wings and signalling the presence of life.
